What a Busy Last Day of May!!

Wow! It is hard to believe that May has already come and gone. I always look forward to May - so much goes on during this month (school activities, golf tourn., and my children's birthdays). Well today was no exception. We started the day with a team party at Chuck E. Cheese (which Sam sang all morning Where a KID can be a KID). Penny thought the place was great until Chuckie came out - then well, she was ready to GO! Sam got really upset before leaving because he had not earned enough tickets to purchase a really GREAT toy. He could only get something from the bottom shelf. Not very happy!!! Before reaching home both kids were in the back seat sound asleep.

Then, with no time to spare we were off to closing ceremonies for T-Ball. Sam could not wait, he was going to get his very own trophy - maybe now we can get rid of some of our daddy's that he has all over his room. Kansas Jayhawk ranked #1 in the Red division and going into City Tournament ranked #1. Good Luck Jayhawks!!!

Now, home for a couple of hours to rest before Sam and Daddy play in a parent-child tournament at DCC(Penny thought she could play, she had to bring her pink clubs). Sam did really good, he is really starting to hit the ball. Daddy was so proud when he made a birdie. Sam and Daddy shot a 21 on five holes- they came in 4th place, Sam got two sleeves of Nike golf balls(which daddy really wants). Mr. Scott and Bo won!! Great Job! To end the day Sam went swimming at our new club pool with his friend Banks. Wow! What a fun day we have had - now I am sitting up way late having to Blog all this!

Jordan's Dance Recital

We(SAM,daddy, and Cheryl) went to watch Jordan dance at her 8th dance recital. It was so good- Jordan tapped to Forever Your Girl. Sam brought her a present (he wanted to take her flowers but I talked him into a pillow for her spend the night birthday party-June 4).

Happy Birthday Sam

I can not even believe that it has already been 5 years since my life took a huge change, Sam was born into our lives on May 28th, 2003 at 6:36 on a Wednesday night. How time has gone- and now I have a 5 year old!

We had a busy, rainy day for Sam's day. It started(5:00) with Shawn going to get his basketball goal at Nana and Papa's house before Sam got up. I went on and got up hoping Sam would sleep a little longer today- well what was I thinking. Sam jumped out of bed around 5:30 and was so excited about this day. He thought it would be a good idea if he went on and took and shower - (It is still not even 6:00). Shawn got back and Sam was already dressed for the day. We let him open our presents from us- Star Wars Wii game, Speed Racer sheets, and Nana and Papa sent over a new outfit. Shawn asked him to throw something away outside so he would see his basketball goal that we got him, his face was so funny- he shouted AWESOME! WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED!!! thanks daddy. Can you believe that he thinks that this is just from daddy (always the way is works- moms get no credit

We went to Buger King to have breakfast. When we got back Sam and Daddy played Star Wars (Sam calls it Star Whores) while I had my first tennis lesson. I think they played for about 4 hours today. We had to go get hair cuts, cookies, and cake around lunch time. When we picked up his cake - well not sure what to say about it. Does not look like a bowling pin (check out slide show to see his terrible looking cake). oh well. Had little time to rest before we went to the bowling alley for party. Sam and his friends had so much fun. It was a good place to have a party, they all seemed to have a great time. He could not wait to get home and open all of his presents. He layed down and was ASLEEP by 7:30.

Happy Birthday my sweet boy- I Love You So Much!!! Thank you for making my life so complete!!!

Happy Birthday Sam!!

Memorial Day (Weekend) Activites

The Memorial Day weekend started off for the Smith family around 6:00 am Saturday morning. We went to see the balloons at Pt. Mallard and have breakfast with our friends. Sam and Penny loved watching all the balloons.

The Key Grab is on Sunday, this was the one I always remember coming to as a child. Sam, Penny, and Mommy got up again and was out at Pt. Mallard by 6:00 am. We took our breakfast with us and ate out there. None of the balloons even got close to getting the key, but we had fun anyway. As we were leaving one of the balloons had landed in the big field and they were letting kids help them pack it up. Sam jumped in and helped pick up the heavy balloon- he thought he was STRONG.

Memorial Day- we went to Nana and Papa's house for lunch and to celebrate Sam and Patrick's birthday. Sam got his first present of the week - a Spider Man scooter and helmet. He was so proud it - he told Nana and Papa that he had Always wanted one. This has been a great weekend.

First Time in the Pool

Sam got home from school and begged to get in the swimming pool (daddy said"When school is out for the summer it will be time to swim") Sam believed him- no matter how cold the water was. Sam decided to just Cannon Ball his way in! Penny was not so sure of the water, it took her about 20 min. to put her feet in the wa-wa.

Last Day of School!!!

Summer, Summer, Summer!!!! Yea, no more school! Sam and Penny told their teacher good bye. (Sam wore his I am going to Kindergarten shirt)

Still playing catch up- Sam's Program

May 14th Sam had his end of the year program at school. They sang a crazy song and they had so much fun with it. Sam's whole class loves to dance and sing (they play American Idol in class everyday). I think just watching all the classes they were the "Clowns" of the bunch. Mrs. Lynda and Mrs. Shea did a great job, Sam has learned so much this year.
It is hard to believe that this is it for daycare- Now we are heading to Kindergarten. That is so hard for me- I always laughed at my mom for crying about things like that and now I so understand. Just thinking about Sam starting school makes me tear up. I know he will LOVE IT!
