Thanksgiving Feast
After leaving Sam's play I went to Penny's Thanksgiving Feast at her school. She has been counting down the day till this feast (like counting down to your birthday). They came in where all the parents were sitting and presented the pledge, songs, and Bible verse- Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he his Good!

They also sang -Thanksgiving Day is a happy day when we give thanks to the Lord.

After the program we blessed the food by a sweet prayer from the children and enjoyed a feast of chicken, green beans, corn, mac. and cheese, rolls, and lots more yummy Thanksgiving food.

Plump and Perky Turkey
Sam's second grade play was Thursday- they preformed
This is a humorous story of a town, Squawk Valley, that is having trouble finding a turkey for Thanksgiving- they had all fled for their lives. The town posted wanted posters for the next TOP Model Turkey..... and Pete the turkey(Sam)

stopped by to apply for the job. He told the Mayor," I am here to apply for the position, I strut plump and proud, I can hardly wait to model for this large and eager crowd!!"

The mayor HIRED him on the spot! The town was holding an art show where Pete was to judge all the turkey art (but really they were hoping to catch Pete for their turky dinner). BUT Pete out smarted the towns people and ran for cover - not before taking his modling fee (a oatmeal turkey from the art show). The play was precious!!

Sam and the whole cast did a wonderful job!!!

Halloween Highlights
Penny started off the Halloween festivities with a Fall Festival- she dressed herself for this. She wanted to be a Princess witch (fancy dress and shoes with witch hat and broom).

Sam had character day at his school the Friday before Halloween- he dressed as his favorite book character- Nate from the mystery stories Nate the Great.

That afternoon Penny had a Halloween party - with lots of goodies and games. They even painted a pumpkin.

Halloween night we all went to Poon and Pop's house for yummy food and spooks. This has become one of my favorite days- it is so much fun hanging out and watching so many people Trick- Treat. Sam, Smith, and Patton hung out in the yard the whole night trying to frighten everyone (think they did a pretty good job).

(Smith, Turner, and Sam-Looking good boys!!!)

(this is Patton - the scarecrow)
Penny and Put had fun running around and going door to door saying Trick- or - Treat!!

Sam dressed in a NO mask -scary face

and Penny was a Alabama cheerleader.

What a fun night we all had!!
