Mae's Day

Party #3 for Penny- it is her church friend Mae. Her party theme was a tea party! Penny and the other little girls all dressed in their fancy dresses.

(left to right: Zoe, Julia, Maggie, Micha, Olivia, Mae, Harrison, Penny)Once all the girls arrived it was time to find their seat, and be served lunch by Mae's mom and sister.

(menu: finger sandwiches, fruit, cheetos's, and tea)

The table was just beautiful!

Penny is so confused at what kind of party she should have because as soon as she got in the car she had to let me know this was the kind of party she really wanted!

Sam's Turn

Sam also went and read to Penny's class. I picked him up right after school and the kids were just waking up from nap time and enjoyed two books he had picked out. (If you Give a Mouse a Cookie and Sun Dog) It was so sweet to watch him read and show them the pages - the kids loved it and I think Penny was proud of her big brother!

E is for Exercise

Penny has been learning about being Healthy and the letter E- to celebrate they had Exercise Day. She was super pumped about this day. We had to find the perfect work-out clothes! By the looks of these pictures they all had so much fun. When I picked Penny up she talked about all the different games and exercises they did. She was very upset with herself that she could not do a sit-up (but Brock could).
(yes she is working hard to left those weights- thinking they might be 1lbs.)

Birthday Party @ the Matrix

March is packed full of birthday parties to attend-
The first one of the month was held in honor of two, sweet girls turning 5!
The party was held at The Matrix in Huntsville. This is a gym for tumbling, cheering, stunt practice , and birthday parties. The party room was filled with lots of pink and purple and a two very, yummy cakes!
The kids ventured into the gym area where they could jump of trampolines, flip, and swing on ropes (that is what these group of girls are waiting to do)

This was what Penny spent most of her time doing ... JUMPING into a pool of square foam!!!

landing in the pool

We even took Sam to this party (due to both birthday girls having brothers that he could hang with)- HE LOVED IT!!!! I took so many pictures at the party but because they were all moving, jumping, swinging, and running most were just a blur...

Happy Birthday

Dr. Seuss!!!
Penny and Sam both celebrated Dr. Seuss week ... Sam dressed up each day. The most exciting for Sam this week was that he has reached 60 points in AR and his teacher took him after school to Chick-fil-a for supper (or what he called a yummy snack)!!
Penny's class has used Dr. Seuss to help them learn rhyming words and boy can we do it-
cat, hat, rat, lat, pat, dat (yes we even make up rhyming words).
Penny also got to try green eggs and ham and it was a thumbs up! I think they both enjoyed the week of reading and fun.
