Fall Ball

Sam is playing fall ball (not sure why they call it fall- it should be HOT BALL). Sam's first ball-game was Monday night. This league is very laid back- no score board, you can only play a position for 2 innings, and you have to sit out 1 inning. Lets Go Renegades!!!

Meet the Raiders

Football season is right around the corner, to get everyone in the mood DHS had a Meet the Raider night. The cheerleaders had asked the mini cheerleaders (from the camp this summer) to come and help Cheer on the Raiders. Penny was beyond excited -

First Day for Sam

Sam entered 2nd grade today- it is so hard for me to realize that this can even be possible. It seems like just yesterday I was taking him to kindergarten.

Sam's teacher is Mrs. McGrady- her whole classroom is full of "ball" theme items- which pumps Sam up- his favorite is the bathtub that is her reading dugout.

Smiths party and Pennys first day of school 166
He had a great birthday party- golf.
Smiths party and Pennys first day of school 021
Stephen (golf pro and uncle) was the man in charge- he explained several of the rules, lead lots of games, and helped them with their swing. They even got to play one of the holes on the golf course.

Sam really has gotten back into the golf swing this summer-

Penny thought she was just as big as the others- I told her the only way she could play was to carry her own clubs- (I think they weighted as much as she does)

She carried the clubs so I had to let her play

even though it was really HOT!!

Penny starts school

Today was Penny's first day of Pre-K at Chruch Street!! She was super excited about this day (she woke up twice during the night). She was all ready in her sweet dress and backpack to head out the door.

She hit her classroom running straight in to play with all her friends

(she is pretty much a pro at this school thing, she has been doing it since she was 6 weeks old)- never looking back at me or Sam.

(When I picked her up she could not slow down telling me all the FUN things they did - she was worn out - sound asleep by 7:30)

On the Monday night of Orientation she had a chance to meet her teacher- Mrs. Lynda. (This was Sam's pre-k teacher). Oh Mrs. Lynda you have your hands FULL!!

Last Summer Fun

Since summer vacation is coming to a quick end- we decided to take one more family fun before all the routines start back up... Our family and the Coon family went to the Marriott in Florence. The pool was amazing and the room view was sure not bad itself.Penny loved being able to walk around the shallow water without her floaties,

while the boys did lots of resting from

sliding down the slide- I would love to know just how many times they went down it.

Good Bye summer - we will really miss you-This was a great summer treat, that will definitely be done again...
