Easter Day

What a wonderful day it has been from start to end. We started this morning bright and early to see what the Easter bunny had left- Jordan (Vera Bradley bag, Itune certificate, jewelry to match her dress) Sam(Wii game, Tech Deck, paint and paintbrushes, pjs) Penny(lots of panties-since we don't need diapers anymore, Dora coloring book, colors, water Barbie doll, princess pjs).

We dressed in our new Easter clothes and headed off to a wonderful church service. One of my favorite parts of Easter Sunday is our "living cross". I look forward every year to seeing this- and was excited that we had a few flowers blooming in our yard that we could take and put on the cross.

Several pictures after church-

Soon headed to the country club for lunch with the "Whole" family.

Then our "cousin" egg hunt was held at Michelle and Stephens this year- the kids could not wait to see what Nana and Papa's Easter baskets had in them.

Get Ready- Hunt!

Jordan found the Most eggs- $5 dollars and Chocolate

Sam found the silver egg- $15 dollar Itune card

What a Busy Saturday

Our weekends are getting to be so busy - not even time to get any rest. (Par for the course when you have a 5 year old involved in ball and lots of birthday parties).

This morning Shawn ran in the River City Run 10K - he did great a Personal BEST(under 50 minutes). Sam, Jordan, and Penny helped Aunt Heather with a water station at mile 2. They thought this was really fun helping pass out water (even in the cold).

Then off to the finish line to see daddy and all our friends finish the race.

run daddy run!!

Then Sam took part in the 1/2 mile Fun Run- he ran the whole way with Daddy pushing him at the end. All that track day on Wednesdays at Eastwood really paid off! He was so happy to know that there were "older girls" that he beat. Way to go Sam!

Then off to the DCC egg hunt - well we thought we were going to the egg hunt, with it being so cold they started the hunt right at 10:00 and well we arrived at 10:15 and missed the whole shah bang- that sure did not make Sam a happy camper (oh well got a few cute pictures of Penny, Callie, and Jordan- and we did get to eat lunch at the club).

Not a moment to rest, dropped Jordan off at Callie's and took Sam to a birthday party at Webster's Karate. This was so much fun to sit back and watch Sam kick and chop boards. Penny even got in on the fun.

Wow what a busy day this has been... Happy Easter tomorrow!!!

Sam's sugar egg he made at school this week.

Opening Week of T-ball

This past weekend we spent most of our time at the ball field. Friday night was our first game of the season- We played Miami. Our team did great to be mostly made up of new t-ballers. Sam is playing 3rd base and did really well he had a couple stops and a few throws to 1st to make (5-3 out; that is what Shawn said it is called in the play book) Way to go Sam!! (I am so loving my camera - especially with the sports feature)

now home to wash our pants and get ready for OPENING DAY on Saturday.....

Opening Day started out with me going to get balloons for our Georgia Bulldogs.(and yes they flew away before the parade even started!!) The parade started at 9:00. Jordan and Penny held their sacks ready to catch LOTS of candy..

Here comes the Dawgs!!!!

after the parade and team introductions we had an exhibition game with South Carolina (this team has 3 kids that are in his kindergarten class, so sometimes he had a hard time not wanting to talk to them ). He did even better today in the game at 3rd base; He stopped two grounders that put his daddy in the air Jumping Up and Down. Sam even got out one of his very best friends MB(sorry)- she told him she was not going to talk to him for 3 weeks. This has been a great start to our t-ball season.

Good Game- Good Game
