On Thursday we went to Sam's school for Open House to see all the things he has been doing since school started in August. He was excited about the scavenger hunt we had to go on- we went around the whole school looking for certain rooms and teachers. We ended the hunt in his room looking at all his work, desk, and how things work in Miss. Ducker's room. He really is learning so much- he was telling me other day about a NOUN. What a fun night we had with Sam and his teachers @ Ben Davis.

C is for....
Cathy Cook!
Penny is really enjoying learning her letters (got to video her saying her ABC's- by listening you would think she has a long way to go). For the letter C they learned lots of things that started with C and also learned a cute song about Cathy Cook. During the "C" week the teachers help them write out how to cook there favorite food- Penny picked Macaroni and Cheese.
Sure someone would love to try out this recipe (my favorite part is Lots of Lucky Charms)- it might even get her a show on The Food Network.
Sam thought this was funny and when I told him he had a recipe book - well needless to say we had to go looking and to my surprise he had also cooked Macaroni and Cheese.

Going to the Trash
Penny and Sam are really working hard to earn checks in this house for good behavior- so Penny thought it might be a good idea for her to help daddy take out the trash.

How to Stay Cool on a HOT day??
Go Ice Skating -
Sam got invited to a birthday party at the ice rink. He was nervous about trying to skate. I went and rented him a "helper" and that is all he need to get him out on the ice and around and around he went. It was a lot of fun and a great way to beat the August heat.
