Birthday Party @ the Matrix

March is packed full of birthday parties to attend-
The first one of the month was held in honor of two, sweet girls turning 5!
The party was held at The Matrix in Huntsville. This is a gym for tumbling, cheering, stunt practice , and birthday parties. The party room was filled with lots of pink and purple and a two very, yummy cakes!
The kids ventured into the gym area where they could jump of trampolines, flip, and swing on ropes (that is what these group of girls are waiting to do)

This was what Penny spent most of her time doing ... JUMPING into a pool of square foam!!!

landing in the pool

We even took Sam to this party (due to both birthday girls having brothers that he could hang with)- HE LOVED IT!!!! I took so many pictures at the party but because they were all moving, jumping, swinging, and running most were just a blur...

Happy Birthday

Dr. Seuss!!!
Penny and Sam both celebrated Dr. Seuss week ... Sam dressed up each day. The most exciting for Sam this week was that he has reached 60 points in AR and his teacher took him after school to Chick-fil-a for supper (or what he called a yummy snack)!!
Penny's class has used Dr. Seuss to help them learn rhyming words and boy can we do it-
cat, hat, rat, lat, pat, dat (yes we even make up rhyming words).
Penny also got to try green eggs and ham and it was a thumbs up! I think they both enjoyed the week of reading and fun.

Getting Wamer!!

We have had a really long winter... and everyone is ready for warmer weather!! After running a 5k (Love your Library),and eating pancakes at DHS, the kiddos were ready for time outside!! Jordan was visiting this past weekend so Sam took full advantage of her and made her shoot some hoops!

Penny has been playing a game at school called Jump the Ditch and she is getting really tired of losing... so she decided to get in some practice time with Jump the Monkey Grass (hate to tell her she would be out - she is touching the monkey grass- lets not tell her).
Sam and Jordan are still playing ... I think he keep her outside for about 2hours. That's what a big sister is for--- Right???

Let's hope these warm days are here to STAY!!! We are ready for SPRING!!

Sci- Quest

Sam's second grade went to Sci-Quest for their field trip. I decided to tag along, and enjoy the fun (ha)!! They first went into a classroom to learn about balance.

After the class they enjoyed all the Science exhibts-
Some made noise, some made bubbles,
while others used air and a ping pong ball to play basket ball. They even learned about how our body parts work from "Stuffy"!!

Talent Show

Sam, Ben, and William have been practicing so hard for this....

There were 44 acts (yes you heard me correctly) and guess what lucky group was 44, yep Sam's group. I have to say they got each group through very quickly!!

We saw lots of talented kids from singing, baton twirling, cheering, dancing, karate, and even po-go stick jumping!!! Some of Sam's favorite girls danced to the Cupid Shuffle...they did great!

Sam, Ben, and William rocked it OUT to Dynamite

My heart belongs to....These two special kidos!!!

Valentine's day they got up to a special treat-

I even worked really hard on a sweet treat - I thought they turned out pretty cute!

We were looking forward to that afternoon cause our daddy came home from New Orleans- He ran his 3rd marathon (26.2 miles) with Heather and David. I did not make the trip but I did get post to let me know how they were doing... Shawn's time 4:20. Good Job Daddy!

More Snow

Yes I am blogging about yet another snow in Alabama- The kids have yet to go to school a full 8-3:00 week since we have been back from Christmas break. This week the weather man was calling for around 1-2 inches and sure enough that is about what we got. Although, what made us miss a full day of school was the sheet of ice that was under the snow. The snow sure didn't excite anyone in my house - the kids never even asked to go outside and play in it. Can you say we are so over the Snow this year!!!
