Need Thoughts and Prays

Today we are headed down to Birmingham for Papa's surgery. They said it would take any where from 4 to 6 hours. Please keep him and the doctors in your thoughts and prays. My sister-n-law has a blog to keep everyone informed about the surgery and the recovery. Check it for updates (on my list)

Pumpkin Day

Today was a perfect day for carving a pumpkin. After picking out the "perfect" one- we headed home to make a scary face- Sam's request. ( I am not great at carving a pumpkin - but to Sam you would think I was the greatest carver EVER). Thank you for a fun FAMILY day.

Friday Fun

Penny had a fun day at school on Friday- Fall Festival. She dressed up in her last year clown outfit. Got a few pictures of her before heading to school(work). She was excited about her flower painted on her face.

Friday night was a "night to remember". We took Sam to see High School Musical 3 at Carmike's movie theater. I really don't know who was more excited - me, Shawn, or Sam. It was so GREAT.

Fall Break Fun

This was the start of our two day fall break- we decide to go off for the weekend. We took the kids to Chattanooga,TN to stay at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo and go to the Tennessee Aquarium. This was a fun trip that the kids enjoyed very much. Sam and Penny both loved seeing all the fish. I think Jordan even liked it to. My favorite was the penguins- they were so fun to watch.

Friday night- eating at the pizza place. It was in a train car.
Sam and Daddy waiting on the tram that will take us to the aquarium.

The kids were a little nervous about the bus- Penny would not let go of Jordan the whole way.

Penny and Jordan playing in the water at the aquarium.

Cute picture of the kids.

Touching the stingrays

The penguins were so fun to watch

This was the snakes- don't think that I even looked!!

The little red caboose always comes LAST!

This was a fun trip!

Red Ribbon March

All last week Decatur City Schools celebrated Drug Free Week. Everyday at school was a different day about saying no to drugs (Sam's favorite was crazy hair day). To end the week the whole city had a Red Ribbon March /pep rally. They marched from the court house to the old bank building- shouting Eastwood is Drug Free. They also preformed a song that the whole school had been working on about just say no- Eastwood came in 2nd place. This was really fun- so glad Sam talked me into going. I think Penny had fun too.

Tate's Farm

Thursday was Sam's class first field trip to Tate's Farm. I have been waiting to go on this field trip for two years. We had a great time picking out a pumpkin and riding the hayride. I think Sam's favorite part was just riding the bus.

More pictures of the fun field trip!
