Balloons, Birthday, and Bombarde

May 28th was a very BUSY day... first of all it is Sam's 8th birthday (did not even have time to pause and feel sad) You would have thought it was Christmas around this house.. he woke up around 3:00 wanting to open presents... ha .. got back up around 6:00 for a quick Happy Birthday !! He opened a few presents from us(a little excited over a certificate to go and buy him new shoes)

Now out the door before 6:30 to go to Pt. Mallard for the hot air balloons... we have not been so lucky with the weather the last couple of years, but this year made up for that!! The weather was PREFECT and the balloons were absolutely beautiful!!

a quick breakfast/baseball game with friends

Then off we go again (me, Jordan, and Penny) left the breakfast to go and get things ready for Sam's party. Sam loves to play bombardee (aka. dodge ball). So when it came to planning the party we thought that would be a perfect party theme- Bombardee Party!! We had around 20 kids at the party.... Daddy, Jordan, Patton, and David help keep the rules of game followed! The kids had a great time and Sam loved all the gift cards and money he brought home. It was a great birthday!!

After the party we once again hopped in the car to drive Jordan home and then back home for a short rest before going back to Pt. Mallard that night for the balloon glow... just beautiful!
What a great (busy) day.... ready for bed!
